Woman's Club donating cookies

Every winter, the Vernon Township Woman's Club implements one of its sweetest community service activities.
Through the annual "Cookie Project," club members are propelled into action, baking dozens of their favorite cookies simply to give them all away. Through the kindness of these women, nearly 1,500 homemade (and a few store-bought) cookies were gently packaged into 122 goodie bags, including dozens of sugar-free and gluten-free varieties for individuals with special dietary needs.
Club volunteers then delivered the sweet treats to The Homestead Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Newton where the special delivery brought smiles to the faces of the residents who were thrilled to receive homemade cookies.
