Criminal Justice & Fire Science Career Symposium to be held at SCCC in April

    Newton – A career symposium geared specifically for those in and interested in the Criminal Justice and Fire Science fields will be held at Sussex County Community College on Thursday, April 11.
    The Criminal Justice and Fire Science Career Symposium will connect employers and agencies with students and community members for employment and networking opportunities. The Symposium is ideal not only for Criminal Justice and Fire Science students, but members of the public interested in the field or those already in criminal justice but interested in a career change or further education.
    The event will run 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the SCCC Main Campus in the Athletics and Academics Building. It is free and open to the public.
    Agencies attending include the New Jersey and Pennsylvania State Police, local police departments, the New York City Police Department, and the Philadelphia Police Department. Representatives will also be on hand from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms & Explosives (ATF); FBI; Secret Service; and the Prosecutor’s Office, as well as from several four-year colleges.
    Sussex County Community College offers an array of two-year degree programs as well as continuing education options. The school is located at One College Hill Road in Newton.
