Maureen Glennon Clayton will premiere The Family, choreographed in collaboration with her dancers. Glennon Clayton, once again, dives into her own personal world, creating a piece inspired by her own family. This dance theater piece tells the story of family relationships, recounting childhood adventures. The Family can be everyone’s family, with explorations of the silly to the serious. Set & Fabrication design is by Angus Clayton.

“her approach to theater is her own, one in which she lets us participate in her life, through a collection of dance pieces…each one unique and delicious” (Ruth Grauert, Journal of Art and Idea).

Glennon Clayton will also premiere, Contact, an athletic woman’s duet, inspired by the strength and perseverance of her dancers. This dance portrays the contact we make with different people in our lives. We connect for support, for not only others but for ourselves.

Glennon Clayton will also perform her new solo, A Simple Gesture. She talks to the audience, explaining gesture through movement and through language. One of Glennon Clayton’s signature pieces, Jane & Dick, a duet inspired by the famous Dick & Jane story books, will also be performed. This concert will also have a guest performance by the students of Centenary University.
