New York Times Best Selling Author Brendan Kiely returned once again to speak to teachers and students at Vernon Township High School about a variety of subjects ranging from tolerance and understanding to how to get reluctant readers to read a book.
One of his four Young Adult novels, All American Boys, is taught at the tenth grade level and his other novels are regularly circulating out of the school library.
One of Kiely’s pervasive themes in his books is fostering both deep respect for those who are different from us as well as resounding compassion for all human beings, especially the vulnerable.
