Earthfest 2019 scheduled for Sunday, April 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., promises to be a memorable event that will feature live animal programs as Snakes N Scales (Tropical Rainforest Show), Eyes of the Wild (Wallaby Tales), Delaware Valley Raptor Center, together with live music throughout the day, face painting, gem mining, and a beekeeper (bees included), according to Vernon Chamber Charities, presenter of the free event, now in its 19th year.
“In addition there will be a showcase of the talents of local high school photography students as well as art work of local elementary students,” remarked event chairperson, Margaret Kranz. “There will be many spectacular vendors and food available to purchase throughout the day, too,” she added. Soap making demonstrations and an interactive tribal medicine piece community art project facilitated by Dena Pheonix of Earthspun Offerings, will also take place during the event.
The event venue, Heaven Hill Farm, is located at 451 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07642.
Vernon EarthFest would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors: DQ of New Jersey, Suez Water, Vernon Clean Communities, Peter Lyons Hall and Sussex Rural Electric.
