Lusscroft Farm to host history presentation

Lusscroft Farm will host "300 Years of History — the American Revolution and my Family" by Frank Hennion — a fascinating presentation about American History and the Revolutionary War. His story is about his ancestors, old Jersey Dutch colonists who arrived in 1640 and became brave soldiers, pastors and farmers. He brings to life their experiences with events in our American History.
This presentation will take place on Saturday, May 18, at 1 p.m. in the Carriage House at Lusscroft Farm, 50 Neilson Road, in Wantage. Admission is $5 per person and funds raised go toward restoration projects at this historic farm. There are no advance tickets. Pay at the door in cash or check only.
Frank Hennion is a military veteran and member of the Sons of the American Revolution. He has been a Forester in the Green Mountains National Forest, a Metallurgical Research Engineer for the International Nickel Company; Vice President and member of the Board of Directors for Allmet Technology; Forester for the State of New Jersey; Special-lands person for the Northern Region, NJ State Park Service. In addition, he has served as New Jersey's chair person for the Society of American Foresters.
The Heritage and Agriculture Association Inc. has been fortunate to have Frank as a trustee and founder/chairperson for the Maple Sugaring Project at Lusscroft Farm since 2002. Frank is an avid gardener, and in 2018 was rated as having the best Kitchen Garden in the area. In his spare time, he is a volunteer with the Wallkill National Wildlife Refuge, maintained the three cemeteries under the jurisdiction of the Walpack Historical Society, and is a skilled woodworker.
