Man charged for damaging golf course

    A Hardyston man faces chaarges after Vernon Township Police investigated a report from Great Gorge Country Club that someone had driven on the golf course overnight and ripped up the fairway of Quarry Hole No. 5.
    Hayden Woznicki was charged on April 24 with criminal mischief in the amount of more than $2,000, a crime of the third degree, and trespassing, a petty disorderly person's offense.
    Officer Matt Hackett, upon investigating saw the damage to the fairway consisted of large circles made by a vehicle's spinning tires. The vehicle, a Ford F-250, was identified on video by police as belonging to Woznicki.
    Woznicki was released pending an appearance in Sussex County Superior Court.
