VTHS honors outstanding athletes

The Vernon Township High School Athletic Dept. honored its Athletes of the Week for Week 7 of the spring 2017 season.
Senior Morgan Hinchman finished 7th at both the Hunterdon Warren Sussex (HWS) and Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Girls Golf Tournaments this past week.
Morgan had the third-best score for Sussex County golfers at the HWS Tournament and the 2nd best score for Sussex County golfers at the NJAC Tournament.
Junior Chris Ruiz finished fourth in the 1600-meter run and fifth in the 800-meter events at the state sectional track meet this past weekend at River Dell High School.
Both places earn Chris a spot in the State Group Championships this weekend at Central Regional High School.
