Val and Jenna at MS FUNraiser
The MS FUNraiser to Feature Dancing with the Stars Val and Jenna will be held July 2, 2019 at 6 – 10 p.m. at the picturesque Farmstead Golf and Country Club in Lafayette.
The evening begins with a dinner dance, during which raffle tickets will be sold and prizes awarded. ABC’s Dancing with the Stars Professionals, Val and Jenna will perform two choreographed dances. A VIP Package is available, including a private opportunity to meet Jenna and Val and to take personal pictures with them, plus more.
Several themed baskets will be raffled. Examples include “A Day at the Beach,” “Italian Night Out for Two,” and “Bling.” There will also be a 50/50 raffle. These tickets will be available for cash purchase and awarded during the dinner dance.
Heidi Keller, Event Coordinator explained why this fundraiser is personally important,
“My father discovered he had Multiple Sclerosis during the 1970s when the primary method for diagnosis was to ‘rule out every other neurological disorder.’ No treatments were available during his lifetime. Decades after he lost his own battle, I found out I also have MS. My father taught me how to waltz when I was a young girl, not knowing he would not be able to dance the traditional father/daughter dance at my wedding. Fundraisers such as this are the reason families impacted by MS now have hope.”
According to Tonya Hall, Executive Director of the National MS Society’s New Jersey Metro Chapter, “fundraising changes lives. … (one example program is) ‘Breakthroughs to a Cure’ which funds research initiatives to stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever.”
The MS FUNraiser begins promptly at 6 pm. Keller suggests arriving by 5:30 - 5:45 p.m. to pick up admission tickets, browse baskets, and begin purchasing raffle tickets. Guests must be present to win. General admission tickets includes full course dinner buffet, cash bar, dancing accompanied by Magic Touch DJs, purchase and awarding of the donated baskets, and Val and Jenna’s performances.
VIP tickets include all of the above, plus preferred performance seating, free raffle tickets, chances to win VIP door prizes, and a private meeting with Jenna and Val to take personal pictures together. In order to maintain a uniquely intimate atmosphere to honor Val and Jenna’s donation of their valuable time, tickets are available on a limited basis.
