Sussex woman charged in crash

A Sussex Borough woman faces drunk driving charges after Franklin police investigated a single-vehicle crash on County Route 517 at 12:01 a.m. on June 7.
Randi Lake, 52, was found to be intoxicated and charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath tests, and several motor vehicle offenses.
Police said she was traveling north on Rt. 517 coming from Sparta when her vehicle left its lane of travel, striking a utility pole, eventually coming to rest facing south in the northbound lane.
No injuries were reported.
The road was closed for approximately 45 minutes and caused no significant delays, likely because of the time of day.
Lake was released pending her first court appearance in Franklin Municipal Court.
