Cyclones rally to win championship

The 10U Vernon Cyclones came from behind to defeat the West Milford Bears in an exciting extra inning championship game Sunday.
Down by one run in the bottom of the sixth inning, James Curry doubled to center field and scored on a single from Charlie Paladino to push the game into extra innings.
In the 7th inning, the Cyclones loaded the bases with 2 outs and Bradley Carter scored the game winning run from third base on a hit by Dustin Wagner to clinch the championship.
Dustin Wagner was excellent on the mound for the Cyclones going all seven innings while only throwing 85 pitches and striking out 5 West Milford hitters to earn the victory.
James Curry stood out offensively for the Cyclones going 3 for 3 at the plate, and Charlie Paladino went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs.
With the victory, the 10U Cyclones have earned a bid to the USABL World Series on June 22nd and 23rd in New Brunswick, N.J.
