Douglas J. 23 of Newton was sentenced to one year of probation. He must also pay mandatory fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on April 8 to criminal trespass, a fourth-degree crime. Hill entered the apartment of an acquaintance without permission.
May 31
Ryan Coyle, 32, of Newton was sentenced to two years probation. He must submit to a TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations thereof, and pay mandatory fines and fees.
He pleaded guilty on April 8, to unlawful taking of a means of conveyance, a fourth-degree crime. Coyle used a motor vehicle without permission.
June 3
Hasdrede Kengne, 21, of Newton, pled guilty to attempted burglary, a crime of the third-degree and burglary, a crime of the third degree.
Sentencing is presently scheduled for July 26.
The defendant admitted to breaking into several vehicles in Newton in August of 2018 without permission, taking various items.
June 5
Heather Hardick, 36, of Sussex, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, both crimes of the third degree.
Sentencing is presently scheduled for June 21, 2019.
The defendant admitted in August of 2018 she tried to take a shopping cart full of various items, without paying for them, from Franklin Walmart, but was stopped by security when she left the store. She also admitted to being in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, without a valid prescription, during a motor vehicle stop by New Jersey State Police.
Gabriella Gobla. 21 of Franklin, pleaded guilty to theft of mislaid property, a third-degree crime, and Possession of marijuana, a disorderly persons offense.
Sentencing is presently anticipated for Aug. 2.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to taking a cell phone that was mistakenly left in a Vernon Township restaurant on Feb. 21 and to being in possession of marijuana on July 10, 2018, in Hardyston Township.
The cases were investigated by Patrolman Sean Perry of the Vernon Township Police Department and Detective Andrew Norman of the Hardyston Township Police Department.
