Celebrating Father's Day on the links

Father’s Day was celebrated at the Crystal Spring Resort’s Minerals Golf Club by the playing of the Father’s Day Parent/Youth Tournament.
Mothers, Fathers, Daughters and Sons joined in the fun playing a two golfer team scramble with prizes awarded to the best teams in the K-4, 5-8 and High School Divisions.
Both the parents and their child team mates of all ages demonstrated excellent golfing skills as they competed in the Father’s Day tournament at Minerals Golf Club.
Following golf an awards ceremony was held in the Pavilion adjacent to the Minerals Golf Course. The winner of the K - 4th Grade Division was scored an even par 31. The winner for the 5th-8th Grade Division was Nick Theodorou scoring a 2 under par 29 and the High School Division winner was Avery Cohen who scored a 2 over par 33. Prizes were also awarded to the parents and kids who hit tee shots closest to the pin. Prize winners included Nick Theodorou, Lieana Cherulyot for the kids and John Boyle for the parents.
The participants in the event enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner provided by Saad Minerals Banquet Manager and staff including ribs, hamburgers and hot dogs, salads and brownies and other irresistible deserts while listening the outstanding music provided by the popular New Jersey band “That’s What She Said.”
