Sparta's UNICO has presented scholarship awards to four students from Sussex County.
Every year Sparta UNICO, an Italian-American Service Organization, offers the scholarships with the intent of helping students defer the cost of some college expenses. The four students who received $1000 Scholarships were from several High Schools in Sussex County;
Gary D’Uva, Chairperson, Kristine J Krumpfer (Kittatinny).
Roberta Muresan (Newton), Danielle Blide (Walkill Valley).
Hunter Roggero, (Sparta). Ray Shupak President of Sparta UNICO presented the checks.
Started in 1998, the 21-year-old Chapter of UNICO National serves all Sussex County residents with Charity and donations to all causes. Our motto “Service Above Self” resonates with every member who gives their time and effort to the community and promotes the good deeds by Italian-Americans who contribute to American culture.
If you interested in promoting a positive image of Italian-Americans, UNICO offers a chance to have fun and give back to the community by helping those who could use your assistance. For further information or to join UNICO, ontact us at Sparta UNICO, PO Box 328 Sparta NJ 07871, or call 862-266-7039
