Sussex County Bar Association installs new president

Ursula H. Leo, a partner with the law firm Laddey Clark & Ryan LLP, and chair of the firm’s Employment/Labor Practice and Government Services Groups, was installed as President of the Sussex County Bar Association on June 27.
Ms. Leo follows a long and strong tradition of leadership by the firm in the Sussex County Bar Association. She is the seventh Laddey Clark & Ryan attorney in the 30 years of the firm’s existence to serve as president.
Two other Laddey Clark & Ryan attorneys – Jonathan E. McMeen and Thomas H. Prol – were installed as members of the Bar Association’s board of trustees.
Ms. Leo was sworn in by Superior Court Judge Michael Gaus.
Ms. Leo is the current attorney for the Town of Newton, Green Township, Stanhope Borough, and the Lafayette Township Land Use Board. She represents individuals and developers in their applications before planning and zoning boards and various government entities. Named as a New Jersey Super Lawyer in 2019 and New Jersey Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2011 through 2016, Ms. Leo was also honored as one of Sussex County’s “20 under 40” and was named a 2014 Leader of the Bar by the New Jersey Law Journal.
