Deborah Susan Tiene, loving wife, mother and grandmother (1956-2021), died peacefully in her home, under home hospice care of Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in only her 64th year after combatting metastatic breast cancer for over 15 years.

Born in Upper Darby Township, Pa., to Walter and Irene Fraser (Dithomas), Debbie spent her childhood in the Township of Washington, N.J.

She is survived by her mother, Irene; brother, Walter James; husband, Michael; sons, Scott, Danny, and Micky, and their respective spouses Patricia, Rachel, and Kathryn; and her lovely grandchildren, Nora Susan Fraser and Walter Winfield Fraser.

A graduate of New York University, Deborah earned her bachelor of science degree in marketing in 1978. While working as a customer support specialist at Global Turnkey Systems, she met Michael, her husband of 35 years. They would go on to move into a little house in Highland Lakes, N.J. to start their family.

She was a caring, wonderful mother to three sons, Scott, Danny, and Micky, and would go on to reenter the workforce in 1997. Deborah worked tirelessly for ADP, first in payroll then insurance, all the while being promoted to multiple levels of management and upper management before retiring after 20 years to focus on her health and happiness.

Having successfully raised her children, Debbie welcomed her first grandchild, Nora, to the family in 2013 with Nora’s brother, Walter, to join the family in 2017.

After retirement, Deborah sought to travel and spend as much time with her family and grandchildren as possible. Whether it was summiting the Haleakala volcano in Maui or peering over the edge of the Grand Canyon, Debbie made sure to fill her life with adventure. But she always preferred the crisp breezes and warm sunshine of Maine’s beaches in the summer.

A memorial service was held at Ferguson Funeral Home in Vernon, N.J.m on March 21. Memorial donations may be made to the Karen Ann Quinlan Memorial Foundation, 99 Sparta Ave. Newton, NJ 07860.
