    Karen Heise, age 72, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at Newton Medical Center.
    Born in Bad Schwartau, Germany to the late Kurt and Katie (Alpers) Zeuner, Mrs. Heise came to the United States at a young age and was raised in Carlstadt. She had lived in Hopatcong then Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania before recently moving to Montague. Mrs. Heise owned and operated Platinum Limousine in Hopatcong with her late husband, George. She is survived by her sons, David Heise and his wife Karin of Saylorsburg, PA, Craig Lesko and his wife Darce of Blakeslee, PA, and Keith Lesko and his wife Alison of Hamburg; her daughters, Shannon Harford and her husband Robert of Wantage, Kristen Lesko and her significant other, Rambo Burkhardt of Key West, Florida, and Carol Steck of Tampa, Florida; her six grandchildren; and her three canine companions, Baxter, Tucker, and Cooper.
    Friends may pay their respects to the family from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Memorial services will immediately follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private cremation services have been held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Karen Heise's memory to the Salvation Army, 226 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
