The Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders sponsored its 19th Annual Salute to Military Veterans at the Sussex County Fairgrounds on Sunday, Nov 3, 2019. The yearly event includes a parade of local military and civic groups, poetry and prose readings by local students, and a gun salute in honor of all those MIA or KIA. Each veteran who attends is also given a commemorative pin. Sunday’s parade featured more than two dozen community groups from veterans’ organizations to high school marching bands.
