The Sussex County Association of Realtors has named Karen Glowacki of Berkshire Hathaway Gross & Jansen as the 2019 Realtor of the Year.

This distinct honor is in recognition of Glowacki’s strong leadership and her tireless contributions to her community, to the association and the New Jersey real estate industry.

Throughout her tenure, Glowacki has specialized in residential property sales and office management. Earlier this year, she was named President of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, Gross & Jansen, a local real estate company serving Sussex County, and Orange County.

“I feel so fortunate to do what I love to do every day,” Glowacki said. “I have such an overwhelming sense of satisfaction every time I hand over new keys and help people achieve their dream of home ownership.”

A member of the Sussex County Association of Realtors since 1999, Glowacki serves as the association’s president and has served on its Board of Directors for the past six years. As a member of the Board, she served as Chair for the Grievance Committee and the Broker Manager Committee and was a member of the finance and membership committees. She is also 2019-20 Chair for the Garden State Multiple Listing Service Broker/Manager Committee. An active and passionate community volunteer, Glowacki assists with several charitable organizations to support those in need.

With such a full plate on the professional and volunteer front, it’s not surprising that Glowacki considers 2019 “the most exciting and challenging year I have ever had in real estate.

“For the past 20 years, I have had the privilege to work with the best realtors in the state,” Glowacki said. “I am thankful to have been on this journey with them. I have learned so much, helped so many and am so grateful for the opportunities that real estate has brought to me through my career.”
