Co-owner brothers Rob and Brian Kunis of Wantage are living their dreams of owning Vernon’s new deli, Bites and Grill.

Located in the “hole” on Route 94, the deli shares the spot with Wings, the Asian Bistro.

The deli opened officially on Monday March 9 after total renovations going on since October, 2019. Both siblings have extensive experience in the food and deli business.

While the new deli offers typical deli favorites like breakfast sandwiches, wraps and burgers, the shop boasts about their salads and homemade soups crafted by the guys and their mom. The brothers stress that hot specials change every day. It seems their mom makes a bacon wrapped meatloaf to die for.

“We are excited to be here in Vernon to provide fresh, clean food to the public,” said Brian.

Rob mentioned that all breads, rolls and sweets are delivered fresh daily from Anthony and Sons bakery.

The new deli is located at 281 Route 94 in Vernon and is open from 6 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday, with weekend hours from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We welcome everyone to try us,” said Brian. “There’s plenty of room in our parking lot. We can even fit the big trucks with no problem,” Brian laughed.
