Church plans active shooter training

The Beemerville Presbyterian Church is hosting an Active Shooter Response Training on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m. at the Beemerville Church Fellowship Hall.
The program will be presented by Sheriff Michael Strada and members of the Sussex County Corrections Special Operations Group. The presentation will instruct participants what to do in the event of an active shooter.
There will be an informative session, time for questions and answers, and display tables of security and information. With the unrest in the world today, this is your opportunity to be trained and prepared in the event of the unthinkable. This program is open to all staff and lead volunteers of your group.
Admission is free, light refreshments will be provided and pre-registration is requested. The Beemerville Presbyterian Church is located at 226 County Route 519, Wantage, NJ 07461.
Call the Beemerville Church at 973-875-6760 or email beemervillechurch@embarqmail.com by Friday, Jan. 25 with the number of participants from your group. In case of inclement weather the program will be postponed to Thursday, Jan. 31.
