The Coalition for Healthy and Safe Communities will host a workshop for pharmacists on Sunday, Sept. 29, from 5:30-8 p.m. at the Center for Prevention & Counseling, located at 65 Newton-Sparta Road in Andover.
Since January of this year alone, there have been 19 suspected overdose deaths and 44 naloxone administrations in Sussex County.
This workshop will provide Pharmacists with an understanding of addiction and the role medication plays in treatment for substance use disorders and the prevention of future suspected overdoses.
Two and a half (2.5) Pharmacy C.E. Credits will be provided to attendees; there is a $10 registration fee. (Credits are pending approval by N.J. Board of Pharmacy).
Dinner is included.
If you are a pharmacist and are interested in attending, contact firstname.lastname@example.org, 973-383-4787, Ext. 240.
