D.O.G.S. of Vernon plans annual Halloween parade

    D.O.G.S. of Vernon is holding its annual Doggie Halloween Parade on Saturday, Oct. 19, from noon until 2 p.m. at Vernon Dog Park.

    There’s a $10 donation per dog to participate in the parade and games.

    Entrants must be there by 12:30 p.m. to participate in the parade. Costume categories include Most Original, Cutest, Funniest, and Best Group. The festivities include a dog costume parade, games, and gifts on sale for dog lovers.

    It costs about $700/month to keep the park running, and it relies on fundraisers and donations from local patrons, citizens, and businesses. A rain date is set for Sunday, Oct. 28.
