Free legal advice and limited legal representation is available at Project Self-Sufficiency for income-eligible area residents. Private meetings with an attorney can be scheduled to discuss housing and landlord-tenant issues; public entitlements like Medicare, Medicaid, public assistance and Social Security; bankruptcy and mortgage modifications; divorce and family law; or other issues.

Convenient daytime and evening appointments are available; some participants may be even eligible for free legal representation. Individual consultations about a variety of legal concerns will be offered on Wednesdays, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.; meetings to discuss topics related to family law will be offered on Thursday, Nov. 21, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The sessions are free and open to area residents who meet income eligibility requirements; consultations are by appointment only.
