Girl Scouts spend summer creating Peaceful Playground at elementary school

Hardyston. Girl Scout Troop 96215 spend many hours this summer planning and painting a Peaceful Playground at the Hardyston Elementary School on Route 23 in Franklin. This project helped the girls work towards their Silver Award and was designed to give students at the elementary school additional options for creative play during recess. The troop is a member of the Wallkill Valley Service Unit and headed by leader Molly Hubbard. This Cadette troop includes members Kristen Silipena of Stockholm, Emily Franek of Vernon, and Brooke Galway of Franklin. (Photos provided)
