Missing Vernon man found dead

A Highland Lakes man who went missing from his home was found dead in Lake Conway on Saturday, Jan. 26.
Jeffrey Vybihal, 37, was found Saturday morning in the lake after a two-day search. Police said he left he left home on Thursday.
Police said he left his home on foot, leaving his wallet, identification and cell phone behind.
Vybhihal, who left behind a wife, Sara, and two children.
Vernon police were assisted by the West Milford Police Dive Team, Sussex County Prosecutors Office, New Jersey State Police, Sussex County Sheriff's Department, Vernon Township Fire Department, Vernon Township Ambulance Squad, NJ State Park Police K-9, Warwick Police K-9, Maywood Police K-9, and the NJ Search and Rescue team. There were also countless residents, neighbors, and businesses that provided support and were ready and willing to help.
