Project Help’s Toy Drive grows

Thanks to a great effort, generosity and partnerships, the 2023 Toy Drive was the biggest yet for Project Help.

The nonprofit organization, which helps veterans, has distributed toys to the children of veterans in northern New Jersey each year since 2018.

Members of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2 in Parsippany filled a 38-foot vehicle with toys and winter gear for families this year. Most of the toys and clothing went to the Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus in Lyons and the apartment complex there as well as to the Military Family Assistance Pantry in Paterson.

Dozens of companies, churches, clubs and residents assisted with the Toy Drive, donating items and helping to sort the toys by age and gender, then tagging them for delivery to many locations in Sussex County and elsewhere.

Employees of College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving picked up toys and delivered them to the pantry in Paterson.
