The GFWC Vernon Township Woman’s Club is now accepting applications for its 2020 Women Continuing Education Scholarship to assist a local woman seeking to further her education.

“Many women put their education and career goals on hold in order to raise a family, and then are often unable to return to school due to financial constraints,” said VTWC President Lois Marples. “With this scholarship we are enabling a local resident to reach for the stars and pursue her professional dreams.”

To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must be a female Vernon resident, age 35 and up, who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree or certificate program. The application can be found on the club’s website at www.VTWC.org by scrolling down to the link on the home page. The deadline to apply for the 2020 scholarship is Jan. 31, 2020.

The club also offers scholarships to high school seniors who reside in Vernon. Students should visit their school’s Guidance Office for an application.
