NAMI plans BPD course

    A Family Connections class will be held on Tuesday evenings, 6:30-8:30 p.m., at St Francis De Sales RC Church, 614 Rt 517, in Vernon, from Sept. 17 through Dec. 17.

    Participants are expected to attend all 12 class sessions. Space is limited and registration is first come, first serve. The class is free, but a voluntary $50 donation is requested.

    Family members will receive education on the latest Borderline Personality Disorder research, relationship mindfulness, effective communication skills and problem solving strategies. In addition, families will benefit from developing a support network. The course is not open to people who suffer from BPD, only to family members and close friends.
