Gabor Szilagyi, 56, of Sparta pleaded guilty to driving while suspended, a fourth-degree crime.
Sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 8.
On March 27, Sparta Township police executed a motor vehicle stop. In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted to driving while his privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New Jersey was suspended based upon a conviction for Driving While Intoxicated.
The case was investigated by Ptl. T. Herd of the Sparta Township Police Department.
Algernon J. Lee, 49, of Newark pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting, both third-degree crimes and one count of a fourth-degree crime of shoplifting.
Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 25.
In pleading guilty, the defendant admitted that on June 27, 2019, he took merchandise from the ShopRite in Byram Township and the Stop and Shop in Sparta without making payment.
The case was investigated by Detective Robert Tierney of the Byram Township Police Department and Patrolman Timothy Lynott of the Sparta Police Department.
