    Joseph Rebisz, 56, of Newton, was sentenced to two years’ of probation. In addition, Rebisz must comply with Megan’s Law requirements as to registration, notification, address verification and DNA testing. He is also ordered to pay appropriate fines and fees through probation.

    He pleaded guilty on Aug. 12 to one count of criminal attempt by purposely engaging in conduct which would constitute a crime, a second-degree offense, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, a second-degree offense.

    Nov. 22

    Gabor Szilagyi, 56 of Sparta, was sentenced to 180 days in jail. He was ordered to pay fines and fees totaling $155.

    He pleaded guilty on Sept. 23, to driving while suspended, a fourth-degree crime.

    The defendant drove while his privilege to operate a motor vehicle in New Jersey was suspended based upon a second or subsequent conviction for driving while intoxicated.
