We have lived in Vernon for over 45 years. We like this township and have many friends in the area. There were info sessions before elections at various times during the years. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend due to working many hours down below and extensive commutes, plus helping raise a family.
Now that I am retired, we decided to attend one of these info sessions. The reason we attended was concern of the serious issues affection Vernon. This was our first time attending one of these meetings. There was a mayoral candidate named Jean Murphy, who I met for the first time. I asked Jean Murphy about 3 major issues. NOt only did she answer them thoroughly, but also said how to solve them so to save money for the taxpayers.
In the future, if I am able to attend various infos, I will certainly do so. Likewise, I urge citizens of Vernon and elsewhere to do so and get their concerns answered firsthand.
