I want to thank the Vernon Taxpayers Association for giving candidates the opportunity to participate in their forum. At this time, I must respectfully decline as it has come to my attention there have been discussions about this forum by the VTA of which I was not included. Initially, I believed this was an oversight, but now have come to see this is a pattern.That evening, I will be attending the Vernon Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Lamp Post Inn from 6 - 8 p.m. to support Police Chief Dan Young and hear about upcoming events he is planning for our community. I will attend a meet and greet hosted by the Vernon Chamber on Oct. 23 at the Vernon Senior Center from 6 - 8 p.m. In addition, I will host my own meet-and-greet.
The location, date and time will be announced. The public is invited to attend both meet and greet events at no charge.
