Vernon — On April 22, people around the world will celebrate Earth Day by raising awareness and expressing their appreciation for the earth's environment. Vernon Postmaster Ronald Kajor is helping to deliver the Go Green environmental message this year by sharing tips with residents and businesses to make it easier and more energy efficient to buy stamps and ship packages.

Though many retail products and services are purchased at postal facilities, it is possible to skip the trip to the Post Office and save some gas by using a number of green alternative access methods, says Kajor.
