An Evening of Wine & Roses will feature celebrity chef and author
NEWTON — Newton Medical Center Foundation’s An Evening of Wine & Roses, A Wine and Gourmet Cuisine Tasting will be held on Thursday, May 30 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Centenary College’s David and Carol Lackland Center. Proceeds from Wine and Roses supports the Newton Medical Center Foundation's IMAGINE Capital Campaign.
Between 5:30 and 7 p.m., there will be a VIP Room with a special appearance by Celebrity Chef Salvatore (Sal) Scognamillo.
Chef Scognamillo is the Executive Chef and Co-owner of Patsy’s Italian Restaurant in New York City. Founded in 1944 by his grandfather Pasquale (shortened to Patsy at Ellis Island in 1923), Patsy’s Italian Restaurant has been known for years as Frank Sinatra’s favorite restaurant, and in fact, his family still enjoys dining at Patsy’s Italian Restaurant whenever they are in town.
A renowned author, Chef Sal has been featured in many publications such as The New York Times, Esquire, America West, Travel Agent Magazine, New York Post, New York Daily News, Crain’s New York Business and has made numerous appearances on national television including The TV Food Network, ABC’s “Live with Regis & Kathie Lee” and CBS Sunday Morning.

Community members are also invited to purchase raffle tickets for a September trip for two to San Francisco, including airfare, hotel and more, and the evening’s 50/50. Tickets for both raffles are being sold in advance of the May 30 event at: Perona Farms in Andover Township and the Re/Max realtor office in Sparta.
