Travis Tritt concert rescheduled to October

“An Evening with Travis Tritt” at The Newton Theatre has been rescheduled for Saturday, Oct. 5.

The performance which was originally scheduled for March 24 didn’t take place because Travis Tritt was ill and subsequently had to cancel some of his concert dates. He is now well and back on the road. Tickets issued for the March date will be honored on Oct. 5.

The Grammy-winning Tritt, who is making an encore appearance at the Newton Theatre, has been a leading country singer since the early '90s. He developed a gutsy, outlaw image that distinguished him from the pack and has had a string of platinum albums and Top Ten singles, including three number one hits — "Help Me Hold On," "I'm Gonna Be Somebody," and "Put Some Drive in Your Country."

Tickets for An Evening with Travis Tritt are $79 for premium seating, $69 for orchestra and $59 for balcony and are on sale at thenewtontheatre.com or call the box office at 973-383-3700.

Newton Theatre is located at 234 Spring Street in Newton.
