Raymond H. Stevens

Raymond H. Stevens, 71, of Vernon Twp. died May 2, 2013 at his home in Vernon Twp. following a long illness.

Stevens, son of the late Raymond C. and Isabelle (Rush) Stevens was born in Hamburg June 15, 1941. He was a lifelong resident of Sussex County having lived in Vernon Twp. for the past 15 years.

Stevens worked for Ames Rubber Corp. in Hamburg for 18 years, retiring in 2011. In the past he also worked as a part time Police Officer in Hamburg and served with the US Navy from 1959 to 1963.

Stevens was predeceased by a sister, Jacqualin Perry and is survived by his daughter, Karen Podobed of Hamburg; sister, Patricia Fulkrod of Branchville and his grandson, Julian Podobed whom he enjoyed spending time with.

Private cremation has been entrusted to F. John Ramsey Funeral Home One Main St. Franklin.
