Robert H. Eichler

Robert H. Eichler, 73, died Sunday Dec. 22, 2013, at Newton Medical Center. Mr. Eichler, son of the late Harry and Elsie (Grimstead) Eichler was born in Queens, N.Y., on Dec. 19, 1940. He has been a resident of Vernon since 1970.

Mr. Eichler was an accountant for Saint Clare’s Hospital in Denville and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.

Mr. Eichler is survived by his wife, Barbara (Fennell) Eichler; daughters, Barbara Hasbrouck and her husband, Steven, of Hamburg, Beth Lamarca and her husband, Douglas, of Mountain Top, Pa., and Dana Eichler of Vernon; sister, Barbara Schoenig of Malverne, N.Y.; grandchildren, Evan, Alexandria, Mackenzie, Lauren, Adam, Victoria, Vanessa and William.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at 9 a.m. from Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94 (GPS use 1 Vanderhoof Ct) Vernon to Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Highland Lakes for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y.
