Emily Moreno, a student in the theater arts program at Vernon High School and a dancer with the Ziegler Dance Centre Competition Troupe, has been accepted to the Broadway Artists Alliance in New York City for their summer intensives.

To achieve enrollment, Moreno had to audition amongst a nationwide tour and was selected in New York City in April. The audition consisted of a comedic and a dramatic monologue, a contemporary vocal selection and a comedic vocal selection. The third portion of the audition consisted of an intermediate dance and an advanced placement combination from Broadway’s Jeff Shade.

Having made it to the final round of auditions, Emily was invited to participate in all summer intensives, where she will have the chance to work with legendary names such as Jeremy Jordan, Krysta Rodriguez, Sierra Boggess, Sutton Foster, and more.

Moreno won a scholarship for the dance intensives from the Broadway Artist Alliance.
