    Robert Wallace, 71, passed away at his residence on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015. Robert was born in Franklin, N.J., on April 26, 1944, to the late Paul and Bertha (nee Hawthorne) Wallace, and was a longtime resident of Vernon, N.J.

    Robert was a United States Marine and served in Vietnam, and was a past commander of the VFW Post 8441 of Vernon. He was a truck driver for Sanders Excavating Company and retired in 2010.

    Robert was predeceased by his parents and his brother’s, Paul Wallace Jr. and Wayne Wallace.

    Robert is survived by his sisters, Betty M. Gotsch of Highland Lakes and her husband Charles, and Sadie E. Headley of Mohawk, N.Y., and her husband, Larry, and many nieces and nephews.
