Jolene A. Jalbert, 11, passed away at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown, N.J., on Tuesday March 29, 2016. Jolene was born in Columbia, Md., on April 13, 2004, to Patrick and June (Kuehm) Jalbert.
Jolene was miracle from the very beginning, coming into this world 3 months premature at only 1lb 14oz, she was a fighter from day one — a true warrior princess. Jolene’s limitations never defined her. Her amazing spirit, and the Joy of Jolene defined her. Jolene was ray of sunshine everywhere she went, lighting up every room she entered with her smile. First and foremost, Jolene loved her family. She had an amazing sense of humor, always being the crack up. Jolene loved to read books from an early age and looked forward to trips to the library. She loved playing on her kindle and taking pictures and videos with it and the editing them. Jolene enjoyed swimming, going to our local beach to meet up with friends, and horseback riding. Jolene loved dogs, and is sure to be reunited with her beloved Bear, Kelly, and Charlie in heaven. Jolene loved to be with people, people of any age, people who took the time to embrace the Joy of Jolene. Jolene loved Jesus, and was active at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Sunday School. Jolene was a fifth-grade student at the Lounsberry Hollow Middle School. She loved school from the very beginning, thanks to her wonderful team of teachers, nurses, support staff, and classmates.
She was welcomed into heaven by her Poppy, Bruce Kuehm, and her cousin Brandi Yuroshek.
She is survived by her parents, June and Patrick Jalbert, her sister and best friend Juliette Jalbert, her grammy, Joan Kuehm, her Grandmaman & Pop Pop, Helene and Michael Jalbert, her aunts and uncles, Gayle and Joey Byrne, Andrea and Jed Hickman, Philippe Jalbert, and her loving cousins, Jessica Chapwick, and Abigail Addison, and Noah Hickman.
