Stengel wins Spring in Your Step 5K

VERNON — On Saturday, some 102 runners completed the Vernon PAL and Vernon Township “Spring in Your Step 5K & 1 Mile Walk” with an additional 30 walkers participating.
Held at Maple Grange Park, all proceeds from the race will benefit Brian Barber, who is currently battling neck and tonsil cancer. Brian grew up in Highland Lakes along with eight other siblings. He is also the father of three young children.
Many members of the Barber family attended including Tim Barber of Pennsylvania, who greeted many of the runners as they crossed the finish line.
