Donald Davis, Sr.

Wantage Township; Donald Davis Sr., 82, passed away at his residence in Wantage Township on Tuesday, July 19, 2016. Donald was born in Union City, N.J., on Nov. 15, 1933, to Joseph and Anna (nee Naas) Davis. He moved into the Sussex County in 1960 and later wintered in Florida.
He was a Salvation Army Solider and a United States Army veteran.
Donald was predeceased by his brothers, George, Kenneth, and Joseph, and a sister, Mildred.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Muriel (nee Wuesthoff) Davis, and his children; Penny and her husband, Eric Sorchik, Betty and her husband, Scott Sorchik, Bonnie and her husband, David Willer, Donald Davis Jr. and his wife, Tisha, and Darryl Davis and his wife Susan, and his cherished grandchildren, Josh, Annie, Austin, Valerie, Trevor, Brenda, Jason, and Ryan Davis, Donald Davis III, Emily Hill, Breanna Ondich, and Kim Hill, and his two adorable great grandchildren, Issa and Everette Sorchik, and a brother Richard Davis and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends were received on Friday July 22nd from 4-8 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., and attended funeral services at the funeral home on Saturday July 23, at 10 a.m., committal and interment services at Beemerville Cemetery.
