Cynthia C. Donahue, age 62, completed her journey here with us on Monday, Aug. 22. It is with a smile in mind and hearts filled with love that we announce her passing. She passed peacefully while surrounded by family and love with the sounds of the sea putting her mind and body at ease. Cindy turned 62 years old last week, on Aug. 18 and her father's birthday was only a few days apart, on Aug. 22. She passed at the age of 62. She told the family back in June that she had a dream that someone placed their hand on her head and said; "everything would be ok." The family truly believes that Cindy was welcomed by her father upon her passing. Born in Orange to the late Charles and Doris (Maginn) Collver, Cindy grew up in West Orange and moved to Sussex County 25 years ago. She had been employed as a medical transcriptionist by St. Clares Health System for almost 30 years between all three hospitals. She recently worked full time for West Morris MRI in Mountain Lakes, until her terminal diagnosis. On May 25, 2016, Cindy was diagnosed with a grade IV Glioblastoma of the brain. A 7 cm tumor. A terminal diagnosis. She never once said, "Why me?" She smiled everyday and was prepared for a long fight. Even as she slowly lost her ability to communicate, Cindy would still smile as she listened to people talk. She was a huge hugger. Cindy loved the ocean and was happiest there. She loved music and did dance like no one was watching. Cindy truly did live her life to the fullest. She will live on through the lives of all her family and friends. Cindy is survived by her two daughters, Cathleen (Donahue) Permunian and her husband Frank and Siobhan Donahue both of Wantage; her son, Christopher Donahue of Tucson, Ariz.; her three grandchildren, the "A" Team; Alexis and Audrey Permunian and Aiden Cosh-Donahue; her sister, Debbie (Collver) Pauli and her husband Bob of Byram; her brothers, Charlie Collver and his wife Barbara of Sparta, Chris Collver and his wife Diane of Mesa, Ariz., and Curt Collver and his wife, Krissy, of Blairstown; 9 nieces and nephews; and 9 great nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed by her closest and most important companion, Dusty, her 9 year old pit bull. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her dear friends, Leta Emma and Carol Lang for their devoted friendship throughout Cindy's life's journey. If Cindy could leave everyone with a final thought, she would be so overwhelmed by love and support given to her since her diagnosis that she would remind everyone that is struggling with illness or hardship to stay strong and live life to the fullest and never lose focus on what is truly important in life and enjoy every minute. the family asks that you please remember Cindy's Smile. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, 2016 at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
