Kathy Joe Fountaine

Kathy Joe Fountaine, age 41, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2016 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York while surrounded by her loving family. Born in Hudson, N.Y.. to the late Alfred R. and Shirley M. (nee Lauster) Kinney, Kathy Joe grew up in Sussex County and New York State. She had been a Residential Assistant for Sullivan County Arc in Monticello, New York. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard Fountaine in 2008.
She is survived by her daughters, Allison Degroat, Amanda Degroat, Maria Fountaine, Ryleigh Fountaine, and Kaitlyn Palka all of Wantage; her son, Conner Fountaine of Wantage, her brothers, David Kinney and his wife, Mary, of Wantage and Alfred Kinney and his wife, Teresa, of Matamoras, Pa.,; her sister, SueAnn Schweyer and her husband, Michael, of Montague; and several loving nieces and nephews. Friends paid their respects to the family on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Funeral services immediately follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the family for a fund that will be set up for the future of Kathy Joe's children.
