Past Fire Chief of Vernon Township Alan Parker Nagle, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, at the Morris Hills Center, Morristown, N.J. Alan was born and raised in Vernon Township on Aug. 5, 1939 to the late C. Edward and Mary (nee Parker) Nagle. Alan was a longtime resident of Vernon and a resident of Lake Neepaulin and the past 10 years in Lafayette.
Alan was a past Fire Chief and member of the Vernon Township Fire Company #1 for 58 years and was a Exempt Firemen. He was employed with the Vernon Township Road Department for 31 years retiring in 2002
Alan is survived by his loving wife Carmella (nee Ciaramelli) Nagle, and his children; Susan, Robert, Russell, Rick, and Randy and his 10 grandchildren, and his sibilings, Beverly Storms and Anthony Nagle.
Relatives and friends were received on Sunday, Nov. 20 from 2-5 p.m. at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home 241 Rt. 94, Vernon, NJ (GPS use 1 Vander Hoof Ct.) and were invited to attend the funeral service on Monday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, committal interment services at Clove Cemetery, Wantage Township, N.J. The Vernon Township Fire Company #1 Firemen’s services were on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Vernon Township Fire Company #1 P.O.
