Richard C. Saunders

Richard C. Saunders, age 73, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Newton Medical Center. Born and raised in Paterson to the late John C. and Elizabeth Saunders, Mr. Saunders resided there until moving to the Scenic Lakes section of Vernon. He had been employed by the United States Postal Service for 39 years and retired from the Teterboro Post Office as the maintenance supervisor. Mr. Saunders was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Musgrove. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Elizabeth J. (Verhulst) Saunders; his daughter, Deborah A. Godley and her husband Steven of Craigsville, Virginia; his son, Christopher R. Saunders and his wife, Noel, of Albrightsville, Pa.; and his four grandchildren, Brett Masker and his wife Kristan, Jamie Saunders and her fiancé BJ Fridley, Tyler Masker, and Cassie Saunders.
