Allan J. Ulrich

Allan J. Ulrich, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at his residence. Born in Ridgewood to the late Michael John and Edith Ulrich, Allan lived in Allendale before moving to Sussex County in 1966. He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Ulrich had been employed by the Ramsey High School as the Grounds Foreman for 32 years and retired in 1990. He was a member of the Appaloosa Horse Club in Moscow, Idaho, the NJEA, and the Delaware Highlands Conservancy. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joan (Akin) Ulrich; his three daughters, Donna Davis and her husband Jeff of El Paso, Texas, Deb Ulrich of Gainesville, Florida, and Darlene Gomez and her husband Larry of Middletown, New York; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Friends may pay their respects to the family one hour prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
