Leonard L. Talmadge, Sr.

    Leonard L. Talmadge, Sr., age 69, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Newton Medical Center. Born in Hardyston to the late Seeley and Myrtle (Shauger) Talmadge, Len lived in Sussex County for most of his life. He had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Riverdale Quarry. Len enjoyed his time outdoors; especially deer hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed going to the races and raced at Mocatek Speedway. Len is survived by his wife of 30 years, SueAnn (Stevenfield) Talmadge; his son, Leonard L. Talmadge, Jr. of Crystal River, Florida; his daughter, Tina Talmadge of Gainsville, Florida; his step-son, John Stoltz and his wife Amy of Middletown, New York; his sister, Becky Hough of Wantage; and his four grandchildren, Owen, Aiden, Madison, and Audrey. Private cremation services have been entrusted to the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex.
