Vernon Recreation Dept. plans turkey trot

VERNON — Join the Vernon Board of Recreation on Thanksgiving morning, November 22, 2018 for the 2nd Annual Vernon Township Turkey Trot 5K (rain or shine).
Before you feast, take part in this fun way for the whole family to kickoff this day of giving and help raise funds for the Harvest House Food Pantry and Soup Kitchen. As the weather grows colder, many people depend on food banks such as this for their meals and Thanksgiving is the perfect day to contribute to this worthy cause.
The race will begin at 8 a.m. at Glen Meadow Middle School, located on Sammis Road in Vernon. Check-in and bib pick-up will start at 7 a.m.
The fee is $20 for early registration and $25.00 for race day registration. Register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/NJ/Vernon/Vernons2ndAnnualTurkeyTrot by Oct. 31, 2018, and receive a free t-shirt.
